I have had such a pleasant surprise. A fairly new friend, Lady Wellington (aka LadyCat) who has a beautiful blog, has given me an award - the 'stylish blogger award' and I'm absolutely thrilled. Thank you so much LadyCat for including me on your list.
So I'm going to pass it on to recently discovered bloggers although I am going to include just one dear friend who should be a 'recently discovered' to many. I cannot leave her off my list because her talents which are many, should not be hidden away! So I hope LadyCat will not mind that I have included her.
So this is how it works:
* thank and link back to the person who awarded me
* share seven things about myself
* pay it forward to 15 recently discovered bloggers
* contact those bloggers about the award
Somethings about myself:
I
..... have lived in Trinidad, West Indies since 1992 - the longest I have ever lived anywhere!
..... am allergic to shellfish
..... can't abide liars
..... have a half written book which my daughter says I have no excuse for not finishing now that certain people are dead!!
..... always wanted to go to Drama School but my father said I had to 'get a proper' job!
..... have what my mother called my sixth sense - I dream disasters as they are happening or when they are about to happen - rather wish I didn't but I live with it
..... had a perforated duodenal ulcer at 33 which brought me to he brink of death after which I lost all fear of dying.
And now I pass the award onto these recently discovered (with the exception of Creative Journey) stylish bloggers.
Bateau deBanane Birdie's Nest
Blue Chair Diary
Bonasweni
dream life
Home Truths
Lupus in Flight
My Five Men
Rainbow
SNAPPY REPARTEE
STAR
Things Rattling Around In My Head
under the microscope
Creative Journey
I would like to pass it back to LadyCat but I don't think I'm allowed to do that!
Thanks for the award Bee - I'll be sending it on to my favs! Carrie (www.hometruthsblog.blogspot.com)
ReplyDeleteAhhh, thank you oh so very much! Very sweet of you to give me an award. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a lovely day. Hugs!
Thank you, Bee. I don't know that I have 15 bloggers I know - especially new ones. Obviously I am spending too much time on FB where few blog.
ReplyDeleteLet me say I was shocked by your list. The following could be mine:
..... can't abide liars
..... have a 3/4 written book which I have no excuse for not finishing now that ex-husband and a couple other people are dead!! I recently found the computer files backed up on CD were not corrupted.
..... always wanted to go to on the stage but my father said I had to 'get a proper' job! So I hit the belly dancing circuit.
..... have what my mother called my sixth sense - I dream disasters as they are happening or when they are about to happen - rather wish I didn't but I live with it. Sometimes better than others.
..... I also know when people are nearing death or a life altering illness or accident. It is a curse.
Thankyou so much Bee!!! A lovely honour :)
ReplyDeleteAnd come along now - start that book again!! x
Thank you very much Bee. I'm very touched. It's ages since I got an award. I accept with pleasure.
ReplyDeleteBee,
ReplyDeleteThank you for including me amonst your award recipients. It's been a long time since I've received a bolg award, probably not since the days of the "Shameless Lions Writing Circle." But then one has to be more faithful to blogging than I have in the past couple of years. Like Jacqui, I send too much time on FB. I don't know if I can come up with 15 recently discoversd blogs worth noting but certainly there are some, so I'll get to work on that now.
Thanks again,
rel
Thank You Bee for stopping by, we are indeed very lucky to have LadyCat think we are worthy. I can see why she awarded you! Congrats! We have something in common, I'm allergic to shellfish and sea salt and about anything sea wise at this point. I carry an Epi Pen too! Hugs to you and it is very nice to meet you. Blessings Marilou
ReplyDeleteBee,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I so enjoyed learning about you! Yes, finish your book and enjoy life in the west indies (lucky girl)....Certainly stylish!!!! I am glad to know you though the blog world...xxoo
Thanks for your kind words : ) It is fun getting to know more about our sister bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI have read that people who have had a near death experience are more in tune with their sixth sense. That is very interesting.
And I think it's never too late to take drama classes. You could join a local theatre group, if you have one near you. I say go for it!
I'm off to check out your recommended blogs. I know a few already, but most are new to me : )
Bee, Thank you so much. I am indeed privileged to know you.
ReplyDelete*great big hugs*
I always wish I had 6th sense, but I'm a super-taster instead. LOL. Hardly seems compensation XD
Thanks Bee- such an honor coming from you. I don't think I have the time right now as we are up to our eye balls in political referendums and petitions to be signed...trying to rein in the out of control local government- but thank you thank you for including me in your list. I have to weigh my responsibilities along with my love of blogging..I'll still be writing and reading others blogs for sure! Bless you!
ReplyDeleteYes, I recognise many of these blogs myself.
ReplyDeleteAlways love to learn new things about my dear bloggie pals. So interesting. You sound like my mother who also traveled around a lot. By the time she settled back in England in her 40's she'd barely spent any time there as an adult.
Well, at least with your 6th sense I do hope you know when to NOT get on a boat, car or such?
how amny of us missed drama school or art school due to our parents? how many artists of various sorts remain forever undiscovered?
Congrats on your award, btw.
Bee, thanks so much for the award... what a really nice surprise and vote of confidence!! I liked reading what you shared about yourself. Trinidad sounds wonderful... and warm! ...We had snow on this side yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThanks again a big bunch!
Thank you soo very much..I am honoured!!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for participating - I hope you were able to pass it on. For those who don't have the time (and I know how it is - my blogging has decreased over the last year!), don't worry. And to those of you who I don't know, thank you for accepting and coming by - it's nice to get to know things about the people we read and follow.
ReplyDeleteThe book? We'll see!
As far as drama is concerned LadyCat. I did my first appearance at 8 and my last just before I hit 40! In between those ages, I played many roles!. I have been asked to join a Theatre Group here but I just don't have the time now!
Jacqui - soul sisters - but we always knew that!
rel - I haven't even got round to finishing my bookshelf!
