Oh my God
You're bloody gorgeous
So handsome
Even though stoned!
Oh my Lord
What chiselled features
Highly polished
Smooth and suave!
Oh my Lord
What chiselled features
Highly polished
Smooth and suave!
Oh sweet Jesus
Mirror doesn't lie
Cannot look
At me anymore!
Oh hell fire
World must see
Let me snap
A pretentious selfie!
After thought!
I don't have
A better side
I'm Greek
Get over it!

Delete"I'm Greek, get over it!" That is so funny to me. I have a Greek B in-law who, in his youth had gold dripping off him wherever it could drip, drove a two toned car, gaudy for its time and married my sister. She somehow managed to cope with his ego through a long bumpy marriage and cares for him, now suffering Parkinsons, no longer the Greek God of his youth. That is sad too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you saw the funny side. I know people like your brother in law! Not all Greeks but many of Caribbean and Mediterranean descent. It's sad that he is now ill but heartening to know that your sister, even though the marriage was bumpy, looks after him in his older years. One never knows what really goes on withing a union - thank goodness many take 'in sickness and in heath' seriously.
Deleteoh my that is great- you had a lot of fun with this!
