- In 2009 I wrote forty five blogs, in 2010, ninety seven. 2011 was a bumper year with one hundred and seven but 2012 saw a decline to seventy five. 2013 was bad - only thirty eight and to date 2014 has seen only thirty five.
- I am not sure what happened to me. Lack of material, inspiration, overworked or just a loss of interest??
- I promise to do better in 2015 - either that or I will give up completely.
NEVER give up dear one. I AM going to start posting New year too. Anything I think is beautiful and or, interesting and see what happens. Not so keen on the photography groups any more. They are too egoistical. So I guess I will be looking for new friends there too. lol
ReplyDeleteHere's to a fantastic New Year! Huggles.
I used to write about many things - serious, humorous, on current situations and events and sometimes I look at what I used to write and ask myself, "did I really write that?" I never cease to amaze myself when I read what and how I wrote in depth about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and that was only one post. I wrote it in 2007,the year of her assassination and posted again as 2009 drew to a close:

I don't seem to have the inclination anymore. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed by world events being too much for me to cope with!.
PLEASE don't stop! I enjoy your thoughtful posts.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy G. I have a few things in my head at the moment.
DeleteI'm probably declining in my public blogging, too. Maybe because I'm spending more time on Facebook. But I find I've picked up again on the personal blog I don't share with the world. Each year brings new things to us and you never know, you may have a whole lot to blog about next year.
ReplyDeleteI am spending less and less time on Face Book too because quite simply, apart from a few friends I've had for years in cyberspace and real space, it's boring. I am overwhelmed by selfies. I am also overwhelmed by how sarcastic, nasty and narcissistic people can be although when they show their true colours, they are deleted and some blocked, immediately. It's supposed to be a fun place and occasionally, it's not.
DeleteLet's see what the New Year brings.
I know how you feel. I stopped blogging completely but am now giving it another try. Hope I can keep at it this time. And I hope you do too.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Facebook. I spend very little time there anymore. So much repetition and so much self promotion.
As I said on your page so good to see you back here. I too will make an effort. I posted on my other blog yesterday but it doesn't make very nice reading I`m afraid. Today we have reached 10 murders for the year.

Dear Bee, don't give up.
ReplyDeleteEven if you think nobody reads what you write...go on for God is happy being present in your words.
Peace, Love and lots of Joy in this New Year.
Cheers!
Not doing very well am I???
DeleteWow. That is a lot of blogs! Even in your slowest year! Good for you! Here's to 2015!
ReplyDeleteYou think so? Nothing compared with what I used to write!
