Soft cushions
To fall into
Sturdy arms
To throw legs over
Move the cushions
Find lost treasures
Hidden
Deep in the folds
Of worn out fabric
And
Tattered stuffing
Lovers coupled
In warm embrace
Children cuddling
Love worn teddies
Move the cushions
Find the secrets
Hidden
Deep in the folds
Of memories
If only
Walls could talk

or sofas...they carry many a memory...i hated to get rid of our last one...
ReplyDelete... or maybe it's better they can't talk? Happy Saturday and Sunday!
ReplyDeleteWith luck you'll find enough loose change down the back of the old one to pay for the new one. Lovely Magpie.
ReplyDeleteIt takes some hard decisions to discard items we are used to. It helps if tattered. The house proud couldn't care less if bent on changing their colour schemes. They just get rid of them fast without batting an eyelid!
ReplyDeleteHank
Like the hidden treasures. Dad's lounger used to hold great wealth that fell out of his pockets.
ReplyDeleteNice one, Bee! Memories tend to be associated with things around us...
