Happy Birthday James!

It's my son's birthday today.

It seems like only yesterday that he was a babe in arms! And now here he is at 34 and I'm 34 years older!

Happy Birthday James.  May this day and all that follow be filled with everything you wish for yourself and more.

Here's to love, laughter, peace, joy and many, many blessings.  Love you.

James and his wife Catherine on Mother's Day 2012.

  1. Happy Birthday to your son. Where do those years go?
Loved the pictures at the top of your page. I was born and bred in Brighton, Sussex. Left there in 2002 to come and live in Canada. Loved watching the Royal Wedding and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Lovely to see someone else who values them too. :)

    1. Thank yo so much. I'm not sure - they just slip by!

I think I'll keep the picture up there for a while! Where do you live in Canada and I hope you never regretted the move.

I watched it all from here too. It took me back to the Silver Jubilee when I spent a week on the streets of London unwilling to go home (even though I lived in London) in case I missed something!! I'm a Royalist through and through! I was taught to respect Queen and country.

  2. Funny coincidence - I am also twice my son's age this year! Where does the time go to?

    1. Not quite 34 years older than he is - just 34 years older than when he was born! Time just flies! That's why I always tell people to enjoy their children - before you know it, they've flown the nest - just as it's supposed to be. I have a 25 year old (26 on Monday) living at home!

    2. Oh yes now the penny drops - you're not 34 years older than him just 34 years older than you were when he born. My son is 27 and I was 27 when he was born ... so for this year only I am twice his age.

Thanks for your nice comments on my page - I normally reply personally but there is no e-mail address for you. I understand your dependancy on mobiles - it was the same for us when he lived in South Africa.
