Thaw Wish

MAGPIE 198

The Ice Cutters 1911 Natalia Goncharova

They chip away
Cracking here
Dislodging there
The glacier mass

Sheets of glass
Thick but
Crystal clear
Hard as rock

Await the thaw
Holding breath
Bringing hope
Hearts will melt

    1. Scotch on the rocks to warm you up perhaps - so long as you're staying home!!!

  5. Love you imagery. You got to the heart of it and I babbled on. But we both did a Magpie on the same week. We do need to get it together more often.

  6. I left a comment here! I don't know about that but thank you. You did not 'babble' in your piece. It was fascinating and I am now able to understand the house around the ice house.
