Greenery

She is distracted
Removed from reality
Pushing her way
Through
Imagined branches
That hinder her progress

Thoughts don`t come
Brain  cannot retain
The enormity of
Living
In a world
Where foliage can scratch

  4. I really love this line "imagined branches that hinder her progress." We meet these obstacles at times in our lives. Beautiful poem here.

    1. All those thorns..........glad you caught the meaning. The title is intended to represent her naivety as the foliage!

  7. Your blog page has a disconcerting habit of whizzing around like scratchy foliage - I wonder if it does it to others, as well as me?

    2. It does it to me too at times. I think I am about to dismantle it. I have reported it to Google as I reported the Romanian thing only to find that it now wants to know if I want it in Portugese instead!!!

    3. Bee, you've cured the Gremlins! Thank you so much. And you can always go back into the Advance Design Option to have another play with colours, layouts, type faces etc. Hours of fun can be had that way! LOL
