But Do You Know Me?

BUT DO YOU KNOW ME?

I am a wife
A lover
Friend
But do you know me?

I am a mother
A protector
Guardian
But do you know me?

I am a friend
A companion
Listener
But do you know me?

I am a teacher
A mentor
Guide
But do you know me?

I am a servant
A worker
Humble
But do you know me?

I am a fighter
A survivor
Scarred
But do you know me?

I am a wall
A block
Barricade
But do you know me?

I am laughter
A delight
Beguiling
But do you know me?

I am gold
An ingot
Precious
But do you know me?

I am a soul
A strength
Immortal
But do you know me?

  1. I only know you as a pearl preciously polished to a dazzling sheen that I cannot see but feel even miles and miles away. Hugs

  3. It is wonderful that you joined in! Yes there are so many of us "quiet poets" here in Blogspot. Nice to get us united on something.

    Do love this poem.
